I see astrology as a source of ancient wisdom for modern times, maintaining the tradition of navigating by the stars.  By reminding us of our innate potential, by assisting us to travel in sympathy with prevailing planetary tides and rhythms, astrology supports the development of a deeper sense of connection, self-understanding and purpose.

Character Analysis.  A horoscope set for a particular date, time and place provides a symbolic map of the potential inherent in that moment.  A kitten, a baby, or a business could share the same horoscope yet express its symbolism in different ways.  We choose to step onto the wheel, to enter the flow of life at the moment that accords with the nature of our deepest purposes, the gifts and resources we bring, the difficulties we have come to tackle.  Throughout life, choices are made as to how – and, also, how consciously – to express that potential.  A more conscious appreciation of the natal map can lead to greater self-understanding and informed choice.

Forecasting.Astrology sees the cosmos as a unity where everything is interdependent and interconnected, where soul and intelligence pervade the whole of nature and are not exclusively human characteristics, setting us apart.  Hence we participate in the wider unfolding of life, the cosmic rhythms which affect us all.  Astrological forecasting explores the nature and duration of inner and outer processes of growth and change, giving a sense of what a particular time period may feel like – whether next year, or a significant period in our past – and what it may be trying to teach us.  I do not offer specific predictions of events.

Experiential Astrology using the Zodiac Pack.  The Zodiac Pack, designed by Judy Hall, is a set of cards providing photographic collages of each of the astrological symbols.  If you choose to explore your chart in this way, I will set the cards out on the floor to give you a complete visual representation of your birth chart which you can physically enter and I will guide you through a process of exploring and interacting with it.  If you would like to try this approach but find sitting on the floor difficult, please let me know before the reading and I will set the pack out on a table.
